techUK’s Digital Regulation Group (DRG) brings together policy and government affairs professionals, legal experts and consultants from across our entire membership.
Objectives and purpose
Joining the DRG offers an opportunity to shape techUK’s policy advocacy on key digital regulation challenges which cut across AI, privacy and online safety. Members will also have exclusive opportunities to engage with regulators, government officials and experts through subject-specific talks, roundtables and workshops.
Governance and meetings
The Group will be chaired by techUK, and will come together for two hour sessions every 4-6 weeks to provide policy updates and a forum to discuss regulatory challenges with like-minded peers. The Group may also run one-off sessions on specialist topics to inform our approach and activities.
Members will also receive regular email updates, which could include personal outreach on specific topics.

Dani worked as Policy Manager for Artificial Intelligence & Digital Regulation at techUK betweeen October 2021 to June 2024.
Audre Verseckaite
Audre Verseckaite
Audre joined techUK in July 2023 as a Policy Manager for Data. Previously, she was a Policy Advisor in the Civil Service, where she worked on the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Bill at the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, and at HM Treasury on designing COVID-19 support schemes and delivering the Financial Services and Markets Bill. Before that, Audre worked at a public relations consultancy, advising public and private sector clients on their communications, public relations, and government affairs strategy.
Prior to this, Audre completed an MSc in Public Policy at the Korea Development Institute and a Bachelor's in International Relations and History from SOAS, University of London. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, learning about new cultures through travel and food, and going on adventures.
Javahir Askari

Javahir joined techUK in June 2022, as Policy Manager for Digital Regulation.
Prior to joining techUK, she worked at the New Statesman, delivering cross sector policy research and events for their policy supplement. Javahir previously worked as part of the educational programme at the European Commission based in London, engaging with the UK's youth on the Brexit process.
Javahir holds a BA Politics and International Relations (Hons) from the University of Nottingham, an MA Human Rights from University College London, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from BPP University.
