Through our work with Government, Policing, and wider Criminal Justice System (CJS) agencies, techUK is showcasing key thought leaders in the space of tech's role in supporting the Justice system's work to tackle and prevent cases of VAWG and RASSO. This Centre highlights the latest developments and ideas within the VAWG and RASSO space, supporting policymakers and Policing leaders.
Working Groups and Committees
Justice and Emergency Services Management Committee
The Justice and Emergency Services (JES) Programme has over 300 members, who are represented by the JES Management Committee (JESMC), strategically leading the Programme to reflect the industry’s priorities. The JESMC is a collaboration of 28 elected members, and is lead by Charlotte Hails, Virgin Media O2 Business (Chair), Allan Fairley, AWFA (Co Vice-Chair) and Dan Boyd, Mastek (Co Vice-Chair).
VAWG and RASSO Tech Working Group
The group is member-led and brings together techUK members, police, policymakers, academics and technical specialists to problem solve, voice their ideas, experiences and expertise about technology role in tackling Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG) and Rape and Serious Sexual Offences (RASSO)
Interoperability for Policing Working Group
The Interoperability for Policing Working Group is an industry led initiative, formed in 2018 by techUK, for industry and policing stakeholders to come together to accelerate interoperability of police IT systems. The group is led by Clare Elford, Clue Software (Chair), Robert Leach, R Leach Consulting (Co Vice-Chair), and Steve Norris, Salesforce (Co Vice-Chair).
Digital Justice Working Group
The Digital Justice Working Group is a member-led group launched in 2020/2021 as a sounding board and central point of contact for public and private sector to understand challenges, risks and opportunities in driving digital transformation across the Criminal Justice System. The group is led by Anthony Darch, Methods (Chair).
Security and Public Safety SME Forum
The Security and Public Safety SME Forum seeks to include a broad grouping of different SME companies working in the National Security and Justice & Emergency Services sectors.
