On Thursday 9 June (10.30-12.00) techUK is delighted to be hosting DCMS at our London headquarters for a roundtable with members on government’s app security and privacy interventions proposals.

This will be a hybrid event, with a limited number of in-person spaces being available on a first-come-first-served basis, so be sure to book your place now. Please note that in-person tickets are restricted to one per member organisation.

Purpose of the roundtable

Government has published a Call for views on app security and privacy interventions and techUK is planning to submit a response on behalf of industry.

This call for views concerns plans to improve the security and privacy of apps and app stores (for smartphones, game consoles, TVs and other smart devices). Under the new proposals, developers and app stores could be asked to commit to a new Code of Practice which will set out the baseline requirements for security and privacy. You can read techUK’s summary of government’s proposals here.

This briefing and open discussion with members will help to inform our response.

Register to attend in person or online today!*

*As space is limited for this session, in-person tickets are restricted to one per member organisation.
